Product Description
As Close Reading and Annotation becomes the go to among English courses, it becomes equally important to choose meaningful non-fiction texts for the students to read and reflect upon. Rachel Carson is the forefront of ecopedagogy with Silent Spring, her attempt to open the eyes of the world to the horrors of DDT.

I have created a document with embedded questions and vocabulary to be used as an introduction to persuasive devices and rhetoric. Print and Go or walk students through the definitions typed out in the margins.

Vocabulary words and quiz include synonym questions as well as a latin and greek roots for words such as a herbicide, biocide and pesticide.
