Loved using this resource to supplement my silent e lesson. My students especially loved the board game that they got to play with a friend.
Description
This packet includes 4 activities for your students to practice reading silent e words. Whether you call it silent e, bossy e, magic e, etc. these activities will help your students learn this spelling/reading rule.
Add silent e = students will add a silent e card to the words to make a new word. They will record the words they made. (33 word cards)
Silent e memory = students will flip over 2 cards and try to match silent e words to their corresponding pictures. (18 words)
Draw the word = students will read the word and draw the picture. (16 words)
Super Silent e (4 ways to play) = Student can sort silent e cards by their long vowel sound, simply read the word cards, or play 2 different games to learn silent e.
