This set of word and picture cards has clear, uncluttered word cards with an easy to read font. These make a great literacy center addition. They work well in an Orton Gillingham style lesson. The words are all silent e. There are 54 cards (27 word/picture sets).
This set is very quick and simple center or bin to put together. Simply print, laminate and cut apart.
Simply spread the word cards and pictures out on the table. The student picks a card, reads it and finds the matching picture. In groups, I sometimes spread out the pictures but hand the cards out to students one by one. This gives me more control over which words each student reads. It's an easy way to differentiate instruction in a small group setting. Word picture match activities are a part of many of my lessons.
