DIRECTIONS
All four games can be played between two people or two teams.

Game 1: “ET Go Home!”
1. Players first choose where to start, A or B.
2. Players take turn flipping a coin. (Head=1 space, Tail = 2 spaces)
3. Draw the number of phonic cards according to the number in the box, and read the word(s). (If it’s number 2, draw 2 phonic cards)OR the teacher can simply spell the word(s) and ask students to pronounce it.
4. Move your marker forward If pronounced correctly.
5. If the word(s) is/are not pronounced correctly, put the card(s) in the discard pile and do not move your marker.
6. The first player to finish is the winner


Game 2: “The Brave Firefighter”
1. Players take turn throwing a dice.
2. Draw the number of phonic cards according to the number in the box, and read the word(s). (If it’s number 2, draw 2 phonic cards)OR the teacher can simply spell the word(s) and ask students to pronounce it.
3. Move your marker the number on the dice If the word is pronounced correctly.
5. If the word(s) is/are not pronounced correctly, put the card(s) in the discard pile and do not move your marker.
4. The first player to finish is the winner.


Game 3: "The Soccer Tournament”
1. Put a coin as a soccer ball on the center of the field.
2. Players play “rock-paper-scissors”.
3. If wins, draw a phonic card from the pile, and read it out loud.
4. Move the ball(the coin) forward toward your opponent's goal if the word is correctly pronounced.
5. If the word isn’t pronounced correctly, do not move forward.
6. The ball(the coin) will go back and forth depending on who wins.
5. Score 1 point once the ball reaches the opponent's net.
6. The player (team) that gets 4 points wins.


Game 4: “The whale”
1. Players take turn throwing a dice.
2. Use a marker to show where you are.
3. Read the word in the circle.
4. If you land on a space with special instructions, you should follow the directions right away.
4. The first player to finish is the winner.

Game 5: “The Sheep”
1. Cut out the word cards you need.
2. Place five word cards with "star" in the boxes on the sheep game board.
3. Have students read the rest of the word cards and match them to the "star" word cards in the boxes to make rhyming set.
