Who doesn’t love foxes and giraffes? I think they are just too cute! Silly Mr. Fox and silly Mr. Giraffe lost their boxes (they are SO close, but are SO silly that they need help finding them!) This activity encourages students to help the animals find their lost boxes by looking at the picture and deciding which preposition to use to best describe where the fox/giraffe are in relation to their boxes.
Great anticipatory set for this activity is writing the prepositions on the board and using a real box and a puppet to get the students used to the idea. The students love using the prepositions to guide the puppet to their box!
“Mr. Fox! You are _________ your box!” (behind)
