This is a set of 10 unique puzzles of various pets doing silly things. Eight of the puzzles practice counting 1-10, one puzzle practices counting 1-20, and finally one more puzzle practices uppercase and lower case letters of the alphabet. The silliness will peak their interest and promote active discussion with young learners.
The puzzles include pets doing: cat construction workers, hamsters lifting weights, a cat taking a bath, bird rollerblading with headphones, a tortoise playing fetch with a Frisbee, two dogs: one with glasses and the other looking funny, two cats taking a selfie, a snail with race wheels and flames shooting out of the exhaust, a goldfish with a shark fin, and finally a dog doing various human tasks.
Skills practiced: know number names and count sequence, speaking and listening
What makes it extra special?
- I use real photographs
- The pictures are FUNNY
- I purposefully picked photos that encourage discussion. You can focus on the silliness or talk about how people can alter photos and make them seem real when they really are not.
- There are enough puzzles for students to pair up and be used during large group time or opening circle
