Board games are a FUN way to reinforce or teach concepts taught during Language Arts class.
This board game reinforces the concepts of NOUNS, VERBS, ADJECTIVES, and ADVERBS.
QUICK EXPLANATION OF THE GAME:
Two students compete against each other to see who can complete their sentence first. They draw words randomly from a bag and place them on the game board in the correct color coded position. Sometimes players will draw a part of speech that they have already drawn. They must place that word over the word already there which will cause the sentence to change. Perhaps on the next drawing the player will draw a part of speech not yet covered on the board. The first player to get all 4 parts of speech on the board wins that round.
Play 5 rounds. The player who wins the most rounds, wins the game!
As each new word is placed on the board. The player reads the new sentence aloud. As they read... they learn the parts of speech, too!
