I did this show about a month ago and I think it's the most fun I have EVER had with a program! It was well received by the audience, the students, and the faculty. Always a big bonus! I thought I would share in hopes that others could benefit from this show as well!
This product contains the following:
.....Enough speaking parts for 19 students
.....Ability to add more or to take some out
-Editable Save the Dates (Color and B&W)
-Blank Save the Date Cards (Color and B&W)
-Foldable Parent Program
.....One template for 3 classes and another for 4 classes
.....including a TON of songs AND an optional title in case you would like to do this with multiple grade levels or another age group than 2nd.
-Parent letter- comes in English AND Spanish
All editable components come with directions on how to download fonts. Of course, you are free to choose whichever ones you prefer.
All speaking parts are little jokes that segue into the next song. The kids loved the jokes and all of my assigned speakers had their lines memorized. In fact, almost all of the students did, so I felt confident that if a child did not show up for the performance, another child could easily cover a part.
PLEASE NOTE: A perk of this program is that songs can be easily changed, added, or taken out to fit how you like. Please know that if you would like to use the same songs that I do, you may need to look into purchasing it from those specific people as I am not the original creator of the music in this program - just the script and all the fun extras! A lot of the songs are from Music K8. If you have a K8 subscription, fantastic! If not, no worries! I have included a myriad of FREE song ideas and alterations such as:
-My Hat it Has Three Corners
-On a Log, Mr. Frog
- There Was a Man named Michael Finnegan
-Water Come a Me Eye
-Once an Austrian Went Yodeling
....just to name a few! :)
Total program time: approx. 28 minutes
Preview of introduction lines (before the jokes):
Student A: Grab up a seat and lean right on back, as we present our comedy act!
Student B: Turn off your phones and hush up that baby, things are about to get musically crazy!
