Included in this pack are:
*11 Task Cards with mixed Addition & Subtraction One Step Story problems. Numbers are left blank to make them re-programmable (if laminated) and easily differentiated. I also like my students to read the problem without the numbers first so they REALLY focus on what’s happening in the story and what makes mathematical sense when deciding how to solve it.
*Anchor Chart-I teach my kids a Start, Change, Result Method of thinking about story problems, as well as, key words.
*Number Cards-These (or various dice) can be used to choose numbers and make these task cards into a game. Numbers cards 1-18 and 2 sets of 1-9 on one page are provided. This also provides a challenge because some of the stories will need the larger number placed in a certain blank for the story to work.
