PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

When I teach my Geometry students about similar shapes, and how similarity affects ratios of lengths, areas, and volumes, I like to use these three key examples that show use of the three formulas. These are basic lecture notes.

Please take a look at the formulas at the top of the preview: students struggle with the idea that for ratios of areas, you must square the ratio of sides, and for volumes, you must cube it.

Please download the pdf preview file first, so you can see exactly what's included; the product file is a word document, which you may personalize for your students.
