Looking to engage students and infuse your class with technology? Try this matching card activity. Students practice finding the missing sides of similar right triangles in this matching card set which students will access online. Included are 16 pairs of matching cards. Half the cards have a diagram of a triangle and the other half a solution. Students will solve for "x" the missing side lenth, look for the answer on one of the cards and then drag/cut/page it to the correct place.

When students have finished, they can take the 5 question quiz online to check their understanding. Teachers will be able to use this info for a grade or just a gauge of understanding. This Google activity will give students much needed practice.

Check out the preview to see activity in action.

I have also included a form that students can record their answers for each graph. Once the activity is finished, I like to review this form to see which problems caused the most problem and show to the whole class as a warm up or exit ticket.

Once purchased, you will have the link to download the activity to your google account and directions to share it with your students.. You and your students must have a free Google account in order to access this activity. This is ideal to use through Google Classroom.

Understand that by similarity, side ratios in right triangles are properties of the angles in the triangle, leading to definitions of trigonometric ratios for acute angles.
Use congruence and similarity criteria for triangles to solve problems and to prove relationships in geometric figures.
