Oh, hello there! Glad you are here! :) These Simile Matching Cards are pretty awesome!
Students may use these cards to play a matching game by themselves as a literacy center. Or, students can work with a partner, turn a set upside-down, then play a “Memory” game to find a match!
I also use these cards as “Partnership Slips” - a way to pair up partnerships in class! You can pass out the slips as students enter the classroom, or put them on their desks. Then, students find their partner based on the match for their card. There are 16 pairs, so big enough for a class of 32!
They can be used at a variety of times throughout the day, whether it’s partnering up for a quick sharing activity, or a longer assignment. It is a great way to integrate a little academic content and build classroom community as kids can work with new partners all the time!
This set includes both color and printer-friendly black & white cards.
