This Simile Task Card set includes 27 figurative language task cards, a worksheet where students record their answers, and an answer key.
These cards are great for learning stations, games, or a scavenger hunt. They are correlated to the Common Core State Standards.
As a scavenger hunt, you can place the cards around the room and working with a partner (or by themselves) students roam around the room answering the questions. The questions don't necessarily need to be completed in order. Tell students to record their answers in the appropriate places on their record sheets. Most of the time my kids are strategically partnered, but sometimes I let them choose their own partners.
I frequently use task cards with my document camera and projector for whole class practice. They are handy when you need a quality activity to fill some extra time.
