This is a hands-on game your students can play to practice differentiating similes and metaphors.
The cards are written so that there is one simile match and one metaphor match for each topic. For example:
"A simile about a dancer" matches "She is as graceful as a flag blowing freely in the wind".
"A metaphor about a dancer" matches "She is a butterfly floating gracefully across the stage".
This engaging, educational game includes 36 game pieces (18 matches) and directions! Simply print and cut the game pieces (1 set for each pair or small group). Students turn all of the game pieces over, and then follow the directions to play Concentration!
