Use this play on the game 'Simon says' but instead of using with physical actions, use with speech and articulation!
The teacher has cards with pictures on them, and the players each have their own turn. The SLP writes simon or says on the back of the card for reference. The teacher will say 'Simon says blank' and if the child says the objects name, they will get the card back; these will act as their points. If the teacher says 'Say blank' and the child still says the object, they don't get the card. If they resist, and keep quiet, they get the card. Whoever has the most cards at the end of the game is the winner.
This game help's with awareness, and helping the child to learn to say different words in a casual manner.
