A simple, 3-paragraph essay rubric that includes points possible and points earned columns. This can be used for all writing genres and illustrates simple, yet clear, expectations for students to follow. There are two copies of the rubric per page to maximize printing efficiency.

I recommend distributing this rubric to students in advance, and using it to grade their final work.

Level: advanced beginner, beginning intermediate
