Simple addition to 9 is geared toward students with learning disabilities especially those with moderate/severe disabilities.
Read the addition sentence twice emphasizing the sum in the equation. The next page – say the equation and ask ‘what goes here’ for the blank.
Tell the student to touch their answer.
This document also allows students to work on one to one correspondence with visual cues. It is also great for students with visual impairments.
