This 3 page lesson plan has 2 parts and an answer KEY. The first page is an information page listing the 4 types of sentences and the 4 structures of sentences. This lesson plan focuses on 4 sentence structures: Simple, Compound, Complex, Compound-Complex Sentences. A suggestion for use so you do not overwhelm your students: after you orally read the "Info page," you may want to break up the "Practice Page" into smaller segments. You could read aloud the 3 examples that are already done, so the students know how to approach the problems. Next, do the first five outloud together as a class (#1-5). Then, have the students do the following 10 sentences (#6-15) silently and individually at their seats. Then go over those 10 sentences to see if the students understand the material individually. Finally, let them work very quietly with a partner to do the last 10 (#16-25). I did the individual practice first because some students let their partners do all the work. The time duration depends on how you do this.
