Product Description
The Simple Letter Practice A-Z packet contains worksheets perfect for students that need a simple presentation with A LOT of repetition to trace larger font letters, color simple images that begin with the target letter sound, as well as identify and discriminate target letters. Students can either color the letter bubbles or use dot markers depending on interest and fine motor ability level. The materials were designed as a way of modifying some of the more complicated activities for my students with special needs. The format is designed to limit the field of material and cut down on unnecessary visual clutter, allowing the student to focus on specific target letters.
I hope you enjoy the Simple Letter Practice A-Z packet and please be sure to check back for more activities designed to complement your program.

Simple Letter Practice A-Z includes a page for each letter of the alphabet. The vowels focus on the short vowel sounds.
Each page has one target letter. The directions are simple and repetitive.

-Write name in a larger space to accommodate emerging writers.
-Read or touch the target letter.
-Color the large letters.
-Color corresponding beginning letter sound pictures.
-Trace the capital and lowercase letters.
-Find the capital and lowercase letters in the bubbles.

In my program, I work with students with moderate to severe disabilities. My students greatly benefit from the repetition of the worksheet format. Once they become familiar with the format, I see my students able to complete these activities with more independence.

For additional support, I laminate these sheets and use them with dry erase markers so the students can try the same activity again through the week as a guided activity and for some, an independent activity. This works as a huge confidence builder which all students need. Another use is as a homework supplement to help target focus letters in transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, or special education classrooms.
