This simple machine cut and paste has students sorting through six types of simple machines and their definitions: screw, lever, inclined plane, wedge, wheel and axle, and pulley.
This product can be differentiated in several ways:
1. Students can sort both the definitions and the different types of simple machines on a recording sheet.
2. Students can use the recording sheet that already has the definitions and just sort the types of simple machines for less of a challenge.
3. Students can use the recording sheet that has all the blanks and write their own definitions and sort the types of simple machines for more of a challenge.
This could easily be placed in a science center for your students or used as an assessment of what they know! Includes the differentiated pages, directions for the teacher, and an answer key!
