Oh, and it's not just your average boring worksheet! It will keep your students engaged.

Students will cut out pictures and descriptions and then sort them into the six types of simple machines: inclined plane, lever, pulley, screw, wedge, and wheel and axle.

This activity is great for science interactive notebooks, RTI, classwork, test review, science centers, and more!

Looking for something different?

You can also find a digital version of this worksheet inside of the Simple Machines and Mechanical Advantage Digital Interactive Lesson!

Cut-and-glue activities are very engaging...and yes, even for the older students!

This activity is the perfect simple machines worksheet for middle school science!

This simple machine worksheet includes:

  • pictures of each simple machine to visualize real-world examples
  • definition of the simple machines so students can connect the definition to the term
  • functions of the simple machines so students can understand the purpose of these machines

There are pictures and descriptions that students will have to sort.
