Each of the writing prompt covers one specific element and is taken directly from every fourth grade science standard in Georgia. The standard is conveniently located in the upper-left corner as well. At the end, there are two blank pages for writers who may need additional space! There is also a generic rubric that can be used to score and assess the writing prompts. (Please note these were written with Georgia in mind, but are not specific!)
I hope that you enjoy this product as much as I have in my own classroom. With all of the standards that we must teach, I have a difficult time fitting in daily writing. This product is the solution to that problem and is an easy, “print-and-go” way to integrate social studies into writing instruction or vice versa. I sincerely hope that this product will make your life as a science teacher easier, while helping your students to think more critically about science.
