Print the large colored bean cards on cardstock. Cut them out, and laminate them for extended use.
Match: Lay one of each color on the table. Give the student one card at a time and say, “Match.” The student will place the card on the bean of the same color. Depending on the skill level, you might need to start with only one color. As the student’s skills increase, add another color, one at a time until the student can match colors when given several options at a time.
Sort: Print copies of the large jelly bean jar, one for each color jelly bean. Cut out the colored jelly beans. Students sort the jelly beans by color. Another option is to have students color beans themselves and then sort them using the page with the smaller jars.
Count: Students count the beans of each color, then place or glue them on the jar.
