Product Description
The past tense of regular verbs (eg. walk and walked) is easy to remember but kids often have difficulty remembering the past tense of irregular verbs (eg. eat and ate). Use this card set to review irregular verbs’ past tense in a fun way! It can be used to play many different games, such as ‘Snap’ and ‘Memory’.

My Favourite Card Games:

Snap
Separate the cards into 2 piles: pink and blue. Put the pile of blue cards face down in the center of the table. Then distribute the pile of pink cards equally to each player. The players must hold these pink cards face down so that they are not able to see what cards they hold. To start the game, turn over 1 blue card. Each player takes turn putting down 1 pink card. If the ‘word’ on the pink card turns out to be the past tense of the ‘word’ on the blue card, players need to ‘snap’ the pile of ‘blue’ cards with their hand. The last person to ‘snap’ has to collect all the pink cards on the table. The game continues by turning over a new blue card and so on. The winner will be the person who finishes all their pink cards first.

Memory
The aim of the game is to get the most pairs. First, put all the cards face down. Then, each player takes turn turning over 1 pink and 1 blue card. If the cards turn out to be the present/past tense of each other, the player gets to keep the cards. If the cards do not match, the player has to turn the cards face down again. Each time cards are turned over, players should try to remember the location of the cards!

You can play other card games too!
