Introducing proofs in Geometry can be difficult. This product contains some simple geometric proofs that you can use with your students while they begin to explore the process of writing their own two-column proofs. There is a quick review of the contents that students will need to know before beginning the proofs. Then, they will finish a few proofs that have statements listed by writing the reason for each statement. Finally, they will write a few two-column proofs of their own.
This product contains two separate components: scaffolded notes and interactive notebook activities.
These math journal and/or note-taking activities can be used for introduction of topics or to reflect/review what you have covered in class discussion. The problems listed in this activity packet build nicely on each other if introduced in the order that they appear. Our students enjoy filling them out and organizing them in their math journals so that they can refer back to them throughout the year. These activities are a great way to promote writing in math. Keys for scaffolded notes are included for reference.

How to earn TPT Credits:
"Earn TpT Credits for purchases on TpT. You get one TpT Credit for every $ you spend on TpT. Thing is, you only get the Credits after you Provide Feedback -- both a fair rating and a fair comment -- on the items that you purchase. We will round up for you, too! If you provide fair feedback on a $4.75 item, you will earn 5 credits. Every 100 Credits is worth $5 that you can apply towards future TpT purchases, but there is no need to wait until you have 100 to redeem them. 50 credits is worth $2.50, for example."--TPT Credits Page
