Hi TPT Friends!
Here is a simple science notebook for your kiddos to record daily observations and lesson notes from your daily science lessons. It can be used with any topic or grade.
The file is ready for you to send to the printer. Each time you select - quantity 1 - two sided - it will print out with a cover and enough pages for 17 lessons. All you need to do is fold and staple each book.
There's room for your students to design their own covers. We do this on the day we kick off the unit with a KWL activity.
Each lesson has-
an unlined page on the left to draw and label daily observations
Today's lesson was about:
a lined page on the right to write about the lesson
Here is what works for me:
Before I teach my science lesson each day, I have the science captains pass out the books and roll a dice to see who the students' dice buddy are for the day.
As the kid finish up their hands-on activities for the day, they work with their dice buddy to complete the science notebook pages for the day. I offer a Good Partner note home to the best working partner group. My kiddos work so hard for that good note home!
