We love simple songs in our music classrooms! We use them to help our primary-aged students develop their melodic ear and learn to match pitch. Here is a collection of four of our favorites in projectable form. The product includes: "Frog in the Meadow", "Pitter Patter", "Let Us Chase the Squirrels", and "I Have Lost the Closet Key". Each song also includes a suggested activity to use with the song.
The animated version included in this download contains a power point slideshow with a simple, one-click, animation for each page. Also included is a PDF of the slideshow with no animation in case you do not have access to power point but would like to use the projectable songs. Each page includes the illustration as well as the notated melody and lyrics. As always, your feedback after purchase is greatly appreciated!
We find these simple songs to be a great way to assess our primary age students. Here is the assessment tool that we use during these activities.
