Students can increase their sentence fluency by writing with a variety of simple, compound, and complex sentences. In this last unit of the Simple and Sensible Grammar series, the structure of complex sentences is introduced. First students will identify the parts of a complex sentence and then they will apply what they've learned in sentences that they create. The concepts practiced in this unit will give them the tools to avoid short, choppy sentences in their writing.
This unit includes notes and practice worksheets, task cards, a practice test, and final test. For a fun project-based assessment add-on, check out my other product Simple, Compound, and Complex Sentence Practice: Create a Resort Brochure for $1.50.
