Each student receives a super sleuth paper and will find 8 students in their class to answer a question for them. They sign their name after solving the problem. (They love giving their autograph!)
I find that my struggling learners love this activity because they can choose a fractions problem they are certain about to solve for each person and it gives them a much-needed boost of confidence.
My higher learners enjoy it because they try to solve a different problem each time and they often try to figure out difficult versions of the equivalent fractions to create.
I love it because it gets kids moving, out of their seat, and interacting with their classmates for a quick activity. If you want a quick review of equivalent fractions and simplest form that students will ask for again, this is the product for you!
