PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Need a fun and engaging center that can be used all year long for your students to review how to simplify and reduce visual fractions? These task cards will be perfect!

These cards provide a range of vocabulary words, such as "simplify this fraction," "what is this fraction reduced?", and "write this fraction in lowest terms."

I designed these cards because I wanted visual fraction cards for my students to simplify. In testing situations, students rarely are given the fraction 1/2 and told to simplify. Usually they see a picture of adding fractions and then must simplify the final picture as their answer. I wanted to give them an alternative way to do this, since worksheets tend to not visually show the fractions. Hopefully you will find these as useful as I do :-)

These task cards are easy to set up and are an easy way to work on identifying fractions. This set also comes with recording sheets and a color and black/white answer key.

Covers 4.NF.A.1 and 5.NF.A.1
