9 non perfect square cards match to 3 equivalent forms each (36 cards total).
Match each non perfect square to its factored form, simplified form, and approximate decimal!
My students always struggle to simplify non perfect squares using a perfect square factor! (They mix up when to take the square root, how to write the simplest form, and how to check for equivalent decimals)
This activity was very successful for me. I put the students in teams of 4 and made it a contest to see which team could correctly match all the cards first.
These should be printed 2 sided so that the card number is on the back for fast checking.
Be careful when printed to 2 sided. The card numbers should be facing opposite so that the correct number prints on the correct card!
