Help your students learn to simplify Rational Expressions with Complex Fractions with 20 Task Cards, HW or quiz, and an editable PowerPoint with step by step explanations and lots of examples.
Students always need more help with Rational Expressions which contain complex fractions. These types of problems will haunt them all the way through PreCalc, Trig, and Calculus and a good foundation earlier on will make it easier for them now and later.
Please look through the preview to see the questions.
☑ Task Cards: There are 20 cards sorted by number in the following way:
# 1 - 4 concentrate on arithmetic problems
#5 - 15 are algebraic complex fractions which may need factoring to simplify fully
#16 - 20 are complex fractions which include negative exponents
There are two sets of cards, one which is colorful and the other black & white for easy printing. The B/W cards also look great printed on colored paper.
☑ Handout with eight questions. This can be used for HW, an assessment or enrichment.
☑ Student response sheet with room for students to show their work. The response sheet is unnumbered giving you flexibility as to which cards to choose.
☑ Master question list which can also be used for an absent students.
☑ Fully Animated Editable PowerPoint Presentation explaining the steps in simplifying complex fractions with the unity method.
