This is the third mystery in a set designed to help students practice simplifying expressions with exponents. In this activity, students will simplify exponential expressions by multiplying and dividing, using both positive and negative exponents. This activity can be used as part of the mystery set or as a stand-alone activity.
Students will simplify each exponential expression and will write their answers using only positive exponents. Then they will use their solutions to find their way through the maze at the bottom of the page. As they come to a letter, they will record it in the designated boxes.
When they have completed all 13 questions, students will unscramble the letter they’ve collected to discover Bill’s superpower.
The following products cover additional topics of using exponents:
Multiplying Exponential Expressions
Dividing Exponential Expressions
Graphing Exponential Equations
