PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I created this product to help my students with simplifying fractions by factoring out forms of "1" (like 3/3). Many of my students do not have a good grasp of their multiplication facts, and this is one method to help them.

This method of simplifying also helps students see/understand the true math that is occurring when you simplify fractions.

This method can be used as a "lead in" to simplifying algebraic fractions or rational expressions which is typically studied in Algebra 1 or Algebra 2.

This product is provided in both pdf and MS Word forms.

This product was created by Susan M. Walker.
