This activity is a people search involving radicals. Included in this people search are square roots, cube roots, fourth roots, etc. The problems have both numbers and variables in them.
I typically use this activity as a review for testing. Students are allowed to get up and move around the room, which makes it exciting for them.
Here are the directions, "Find someone who can simplify one of the questions on your grid. Get them to work the problem, showing all work, and autograph the box. Each problem should be worked by a different person in the classroom. When all problems are completed to your satisfaction, bring them to the teacher to be checked."
I left it in a word file for you. That way if you want to adjust a problem or two to fit your students you can.
I hope you enjoy it!
