Description

This is fun matching game/activity on simplifying radicals with one and two variables and of negative numbers, thus resulting in an answer with imaginary number i. It contains 10 challenging problems.

Students simplify each of the given radical expressions. Their solutions are written on ten of 11 dinosaurs images. When students arrive at a correct answer, they “tame the dinosaur” having this answer written on it. It is said that only one dinosaur can not be tamed. Students have to find it out.

The activity can be used individually or in pairs.

Student recording sheet and answer keys are included.
