An engaging activity that will help your students visualize and increase their mental math by drawing and solving real world examples. In groups of 4, provide 1 minute for students to solve each square. Set up a timer. Students will rotate after the first minute and complete the next square. Remind students to check the previous square’s work and initial on the space provided. If a student answered the square incorrectly, guide students to coach each other and correct the problem. It helps as a quick review for a test or to begin your lesson with an engaging activity. Each student will have a complete worksheet that can be used for their notes or quick reference. You have the choice to provide the drawing or student can draw their own.
