The story follows her on her journey as a young girl tending her mother's sheep, it follows her after being kidnapped and escaping, again as she and her tribe are moved by soldiers and face desperate times, and as she makes a new life for herself and her child.
This story of the Long Walks of the Navaho indians takes you through the trials that they faced.. and we see it all through the eyes of a young Navaho girl.
