I am so excited about this product! I originally made it very plain but I have made it *cute* but still COMPLETELY editable by you! Otherwise I do not think the product would be useful because all of our classrooms and situations are so different.
It also occurs to me that classroom teachers could use this as a mixer/ice breaker or indoor recess.
After reading about this game I found on Pinterest I wondered why there was not an interactive board version.
I designed this to be a template so you can edit any slide you wish! Look through all the “sings” and “dares” so you can change any that will not work for your situation.
While I welcome you to change and edit this PowerPoint presentation to fit your needs please do not share without purchasing an additional license. Thank you!
How to play:
First, compile a list of songs that are school appropriate and that the kids already know. For a music teacher this could give you a way to do a quick evaluation.
I divide the class into 4 teams (My average class size is 40) and let 3 students from each team go together at each turn. If the team selects “sing” they can earn 2 points for their team, dares earn the team 1 point.
If the team selects “dare” they tap the yellow ‘Dare’ wheel. If they select ‘sing’ they tap the blue wheel. The teacher names the song that is used to complete the singing task.
After completing the ‘dare’ or ‘sing’ slide you can tap the word ‘dare’ or ‘sing’ in the corner to return to the wheel slide.
The teacher can decide if game play will go a pre-determined number of rounds, a time limit or which ever team earns X number of points first.
This could work for a sub but is idea for those days where you need something different and interesting, like the day after state testing!
