### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Many kids find multiplication annoying, but it doesn’t have to be. Multiplication as a repeated addition concept can be introduced as early as 1st Grade. Through a spiral approach, where students build up on their multiplication concepts over time, learning the multiplication tables can be easier than it seems.

Here are some of my strategies, hope you find them useful. :-)

Learning multiplication can be divided into 4 parts;
1. 1st Grade: Understanding multiplication as an equal group
or array model
2. 2nd Grade: Learning 2, 3, 4, 5 & 10 multiplication tables.
3. 3rd Grade: Learning multiplication tables of square
numbers.
4. 3rd Grade: Learning the multiplication for 6, 7, 8 & 9
through break-apart and distributive strategies.

This game and activity pack consists of 6 games. It focuses on the multiplication of square numbers. The games are divided into 3 categories Understanding – Consolidatiing – Transfer, each with its own focus.

Deviating from many games that focuses on routine practice and drill, this pack focuses on “diagnostic learning”, where students learn as they play from carefully designed activities. The specified item introduced from the Common Core Standards are indicated on each page.
