The Sink or Float packet has a book that explains why things sink or float in terms that kids can understand. It also has a cut and paste sink and float activity that uses objects that can be found in most classrooms. It would be easy for a teacher to create a sink in float center based of this sheet. The sink and float activity also has a version that can be laminated. There is also a blank sink and float chart that can be used with any sink and float experiment a teacher already has. The Sink and Float packet could be used with preK, kindergarten, first or second grade. Kids will really enjoy the sink and float center and will have a better understanding of why things sink and float after they read the book.
