Instruction file #1 is a 17 slide file with a graphic organizer printable for notes. The emphasis is the vertical shift or centerline of the sinusoid. There are 5 formative assessment questions in the file.

Instruction file #2 is a 17 slide file. The emphasis is the vertical stretch or height of the sinusoid. There are 5 formative assessment questions in the file.

Instruction file #3 is a 16 slide file. The emphasis is the horizontal stretch relative to the period of the sinusoid. There are 5 formative assessment questions in the file.

Instruction file #4 is a 30 slide file. The emphasis is the horizontal shift or phase angle of the sinusoid. There are 8 formative assessment questions in the file.




Assignment #1 is 4 graphs and the student must give:
1. The vertical shift (centerline)
2. The vertical stretch (height)
3. The period
4. The horizontal stretch factor
5. The phase angle if a transformation of y=sinx
6. The phase angle if a transformation of y=cos x

Assignment #2 is 20 graphs. 10 are for cos and 10 for sin. The student writes an equation of each graph. It is on 2 pages for easy printing.

Assignment #3 is like #1. However the phase angle for y=-sinx and y=-cosx are also required. This assignment is on socrative and the share number is included in the file. It is on 1 page for easy printing and coded for SMART Response.

Assignment #4 is 10 graphs. 5 are for sin and 5 are for cos. The student is asked to write an equation of each graph. It is on 1 page for easy printing.

Assignment #5 is a 20 question multiple choice assignment. The student uses transformations to select the best graph. It is on 1 page for easy printing and coded for SMART Response.

Assignment #6 is 10 graphs. 5 are for -sin and 5 are for -cos. The student is asked to write an equation of each. It is on 1 page for easy printing.

Assignment #7 is 4 graphs. The student must write 4 equations for each graph as a transformation of:
1. y=sinx
2. y=-sinx
3. y=cosx
4 y=-cosx
It is on 1 page for easy printing.
