PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

These activities are done in radians and Assignment 1A is on the Socrative platform at Socrative.com. The share number is included in the 1A file.

Included in this zip folder are 12 SMART Notebook files. 5 are for instruction and 7 are assignment files. A brief description of each:

Instruction file A is a 16 slide intro to the period of a sinusoid. 3 formative assessment problems are included in the file. This file is free in the Preview file.

Instruction file #1 is a 16 slide intro to the vertical shift or center-line of a sunusoid. 4 formative assessment problems are included in the file. A graphic organizer is included as a printable for notes.

Instruction file #2 is a a 16 slide intro to the vertical stretch or height of a sinusoid. 4 formative assessment problems are included in the file.

Instruction file #3 is a 15 slide intro to the horizontal stretch of a sinusoud. The student learns the ratio of the parent function (2pi) to the period of the transformed function yields the stretch factor. 4 formative assessment problems are included in the file. A learning map is included as a printable.

Instruction file #4 is a 19 slide intro to the phase angle of the transformation of:
1. y=sinx
2. y=cosx
3. y=-sinx
4. y=-cosx
4 formative assessment problems are included in the file. A learning map is included as a printable.

Assignment #1 is on 1 page for easy printing and coded for SMART Response. The student is given 4 graphs and must produce the following:
1. The verical shift or centerline
2. The vertical stretch or height
3. The period in radians
4. The horizontal stretch factor
5. The phase angle as a transformation of y=sinx
6. The phase angle as a transformation of y=cosx
7. The phase angle as a transformation of y=-sinx
8. The phase angle as a transformation of y=-cosx
This assignment is provided free in the Preview file.
The radian answers are multiple choice

Assignment #1 is also provided where the radian answers are not multiple choice but short answer.

Assignment #1A is like #1 and is provided multiple choice and non-multiple choice. The multiple choice option is also on Socrative.com.

Assignment #2 is on 1 page for easy printing. The student is provided 4 graphs and is asked to write an equation of each as a transformation of:
1. y=sinx
2. y=cosx
3. y=-cosx
4. y=-sinx

Assignment #2A is like #2

Assignment #3 is on 1 page for easy printing and coded for SMART Response. It is 15 multiple choice questions over transformations of sinusoids in radians.
