Use De Bono's six hats to get your students to think deeper about the text. These hats have the students think from one perspective assigned to them, in this case, their hat color. When students start discussing in their group, they must respond from the one perspective.
This gets students to think creatively and challenges them to look closely at the text to support their perspective.
This kit includes instructions with pictures. Six cards with hats described and a sentence stem to help struggling students. You can either have students pick their hat randomly, or assign them a hat that suits their level.
You can use this over and over! Just cut, fold, laminate, and enjoy :)
