This series consists of short fictional stories about each of Henry VIII's wives. Each story is about 1 page long, and is followed by 5-6 reading comprehension questions. Whether you purchase specific parts separately or decide to do them as a set, you can't go wrong with these stories. They will engage your readers as we have seen time and again both in our tutoring sessions, and some of our tutors have used these in their classrooms.
These stories can also give you a chance to engage in a cross curricular social studies/history lesson. They are great starting points for discussion about life in the past, and women's roles historically speaking.
Katherine the Good is about Henry's first wife. We are offering this first part for free as an intro into the series. We hope you enjoy it!
Note: If you get the full set of 6 there is a bonus Tic Tac Toe Cooperative Learning Project Activity that works well in classrooms, for homeschool groups, and can even be adapted for individual tutoring students.
