Students will enjoy creating this interactive foldable notebook as they learn to recognize/review the six signs of chemical change.
This activity can be used to introduce the signs of chemical change or can be used as a review after completing labs covering chemical change. Students will need scissors and a pencil to complete the foldable notebook.
This activity includes instructions for creating a foldable notebook (without staples or tape. The foldable notebook contains information about each of the six signs of chemical change: Odor produced, Gas produced, Temperature change, Color change, Precipitate formed, Light produced. The notebook contains additional pages for students to record examples of each change (either from real world experience or previous labs).
How it Works
Teacher will print out foldable notebook pages for each student. Teacher will model the process of creating foldable notebook and guide students in adding examples to their pages. Students will glue the foldable into their interactive notebooks.
