If you have a child on your caseload who utilizes cochlear implants or hearing aids, identification of the Ling Six Sounds is a critical skill to target in therapy! This is a fun and low-prep activity that can assist you in teaching them this skill. All you need are 7 Dixie cups! It can also be shared with parents!

What are the Ling Six Sounds?

The Ling Six Sound Test was created by Daniel Ling and is a low-tech way to make sure a child's hearing aids/cochlear implants are functioning properly.


What is the purpose of this activity?

The purpose of this activity is to teach the Ling Six sounds to a child with hearing aids and/or cochlear implants. It can be used during therapy and is a great activity to teach parents for home carry-over.
