Great beginning of the year activity!
This activity guides students in writing their own Six Word Memoir. Students will learn the conventions of a six word memoir by looking at examples and working together to answer discussion questions regarding the medium before creating their own. A rubric has been included to make student assessment a breeze.
I always ask student to write a blog post reflecting on the process, and I have included the scaffolded directions at the end of the Six Word Memoir Lesson.
The Google Drive version of this lesson has been included so that you may adapt the lesson to the needs of your class.
How to get TPT credit to use on future purchases:
Please go to your My Purchases page (you may need to login). Beside each purchase you'll see a Provide Feedback button. Simply click it and you will be taken to a page where you can give a quick rating and leave a short comment for the product. Each time you give feedback, TPT gives you feedback credits that you use to lower the cost of your future purchases. I value your feedback greatly as it helps me determine which products are most valuable for your classroom so I can create more for you.
