In this activity, students decide whether the multiplication problem or sentence describes the IDENTITY PROPERTY or COMMUTATIVE PROPERTY multiplication.
Students answer the question posed on each task card and record their answer on the answer sheet. After the answer is recorded, the student scans the QR code on the card to check if the answer is correct. Students then indicate on the answer page if their answer was correct or not.
When using QR codes in the classroom, I post the task cards on the walls in various areas. Before beginning the activity, each student takes an answer sheet and a clipboard. A small group of students work at the same time but each student starts on a different card. This works out well when using it as a math station/center during math rotations.
