This is a 2-page, full-color Word document in open notes format. The teacher's KEY is included. I use this as an introduction to the skeletal system. Open notes are a great way to introduce a great deal of information without having the students take copious notes by hand into their notebooks. Each student receives a copy of the open notes with blanks to fill in. The teacher projects the same copy onto a screen using a Promethean board or any type of projector. The teacher fills in the blanks with the KEY while the students fill in the blanks on their papers. A projector is not an absolute necessity, but it's visually stimulating and the the most efficient way to give the information. Open notes also opens the door for interesting discussions.
